England and Bangladesh will face each other in the 8th match of the ongoing ICC Women's World Cup 2025. The match is scheduled to be played at the Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati on Tuesday (October 7).

Both teams have started their campaign in the World Cup with statement wins and will be keen to extend their impressive start. England faced South Africa in their tournament-opener and thrashed them by 10 wickets.

It was a much-needed victory for the England team that faced severe criticism in recent months for their group-stage exit at the T20 World Cup last year and the 16-0 Ashes thrashing earlier this year.

It was a ruthless performance from England as they bowled out South Africa for just 69 runs. Barring Sinalo Jafta (22), not a single South African batter could reach double-digits with the bat.

For England, Linsey Smith picked up 3 wickets while Nat Sciver-Brunt, Sophie Ecclestone, and Charlie Dean claimed two wickets each. With the bat, England chased down the total inside 15 overs without losing a wicket.

Bangladesh, on the other hand, began its campaign with a thumping 7-wicket win over Pakistan. It was only their second win in the World Cup.

Marufa Akter set the tone by castling two Pakistani batters in the very first over, and the latter just could not recover after that.

Pakistan were eventually out for just 129 runs in the 39th over. In reply, Bangladesh chased down the total inside 32 overs with opener Rubya Haider Jhilik smashing a debut fifty.
