England will lock horns against co-hosts Sri Lanka in the 12th match of the ongoing ICC Women's World Cup 2025. The match is scheduled to be played on Saturday (October 11) at the R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo.
With two wins from as many games, England are currently at the second spot in the points table and will look to extend their winning start. A win over Sri Lanka will also take them to the top spot in the table.
England are coming into this game on the back of an unconvincing win over Bangladesh. Chasing 179 runs, England were in deep trouble after being reduced to 78/5 and then 103/6. An unbeaten 79-run knock from Heather Knight then rescued them. The English batters will be eyeing a better performance in the upcoming match.

Sri Lanka, on the other hand, are yet to win a match in the tournament. Their campaign started with a 59-run loss against India before their second match against Australia was washed out without a ball being. While they will start the upcoming match as second favourites, they will be fancying their chances because of the home advantage.
