The England Women’s Cricket Team is all set to play a white ball leg against West Indies. This tour would consist of 3 ODI’s and 5 T20Is and these matches would be played in Antigua and Barbados.

This ODI Series is quite crucial as it is part of the Women’s ODI Championship. This tour is scheduled from 4th December to 22nd December. England Women’s Cricket Team had a dreadful start to the ODI Championship where they lost the ODI Series against India by 3-0.

ECB on Tour

Jonathan Finch, the director of the England Women’s Cricket Team was quite delighted. “We’re happy to be able to release the schedule for the tour of the West Indies. It’s always a great place to visit and with a new head coach soon to come on board it’s the beginning of a new cycle for this team” said Jonathan Finch

“The West Indies series sees our first overseas round of the ICC Women’s Championship and it’s key we get some points on the board. The tour also plays an important role in preparing for the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup early next year.” he added.

Crucial Tour for England

England Women’s Cricket Team had a topsy-turvy India series where they won the T20I Series but couldn’t quite make an impact in ODI Series. It is expected that Nat Sciver and the skipper Heather Knight would be back in the squad as they are quite pivotal to the team’s success.

West Indies Women’s Cricket Team will have a golden chance to stamp their authority against England. The peculiarity of this tour is that  the Men’s and Women’s Team of England would be seen in action; the Men’s Team is set to play Test Series in Pakistan from 1st December.
