England's former interim head coach, Paul Collingwood, hinted at a potential spin-heavy strategy for the defending champions ahead of their crucial ICC T20 World Cup 2024 semifinal clash against India in Guyana on Thursday, June 27.

Analyzing the conditions and the form of England spinners, Collingwood suggested that the defending champions might opt to field four spinners in their lineup, depending on the pitch conditions, in the second semifinal of the ongoing T20 World Cup 2024 against Team India.

Apart from Rashid, Collingwood highlighted the versatility within England's spin department, pointing out the options available. Moeen Ali, a seasoned all-rounder, provides both spin bowling and batting depth to the team. Liam Livingstone, known for his leg-spin and off-spin variations, adds further flexibility to England's bowling attack.

There’s a chance that England could actually go with four spinners themselves. Obviously, Moeen Ali and Liam Livingstone, who is actually an all-rounder who can bowl leg-spin and off-spin. And you never know, if the wickets are so dry, you can go with Will Jacks as well.”

When he comes on naturally in the sixth over, I think the one thing about Rashid is, his wrong’s seem to be so difficult to pick. And he's got real good deception.
