Faf du Plessis Suffers Concussion Symptoms, Ruled Out Of First Three Games In The Hundred

South African veteran batsman Faf du Plessis has been ruled out of the first three games for Northern Superchargers in the recent Hundred tournament in UK. This will be a big blow considering the experience of the South African and he is also an excellent player in limited overs cricket.
Du Plessis was expected to lead the side in the first game, but instead England all rounder Ben Stokes stepped in for the leadership in the first game for Northern Superchargers. The right hander had gone through concussion in the Pakistan Super League match for Quetta Gladiators while fielding as he collided with his team mate Mohammad Hasnain.
Northern Superchargers To Monitor Du Plessis’s Progress
Northern Superchargers’s medical team are currently focussing on the progress of Faf du Plessis and they are looking to make sure that he is available as soon as possible. Concussions can be very dangerous and hence, even the South African himself has opted to rest for the next three games particularly.The concussion protocols have been so strict now to stop any harm to the players.
“The Northern Superchargers medical team have been assessing the 37-year-old since his arrival last Friday and have decided it is in the best interests of the batter to rest for the opening three games. They will continue to monitor his progress,” a statement said.

Faf du Plessis is a popular figure all over the world and he has numerous numbers of fans in every nation he has been playing. His Chennai Super Kings stint in IPL has increased the number too and hence, the people have been tweeting for his recovery soon. Du Plessis was impressed by the love of the people and he tweeted, thanking the people.

Meanwhile, Faf du Plessis is still in the plans for the T20 World Cup squad for South Africa, and he might well have to pull of some good performances soon.
