Rohit Sharma Missed Out On a Big Knock - Shubman Gill

Skipper Shubman Gill lauded Rohit Sharma for his innings in Adelaide. Gill stated that the former India captain missed out on a big knock. Rohit struggled initially against the spells of Mitchell Starc, Josh Hazlewood, and Xavier Bartlett but steadied the innings in the middle overs.

“Very pleased with the way he batted. Fought out in the initial phase. I would say he missed out on a really big knock,” said Gill at the post-match presentation.

Rohit and Shreyas Iyer rebuilt the innings after a shaky start. The duo added a crucial 118-run partnership for the third wicket. Rohit seemed on his way to a century but was dismissed by Mitchell Starc in the 30th over. The dismissal might also have impacted the team’s total.
