Sanju Samson, the wicketkeeper-batsman, claimed that making the top 15 of the national team is more difficult than ever and that he is now concentrating on playing well for India A in the games.
India A will be led by the Kerala-born batsman against New Zealand A in a three-match ODI series in Chennai.

“I have spent a lot of time developing my ability to play various roles. I am sure that I can bat anywhere in the order” Samson thinks that being adaptable is essential for success.

“You should not mark a place just for oneself.” People cannot be informed “I am either an opener or a finisher. Playing in different roles and positions (in that order) during the previous three to four years has given my game a new dimension,” Sanju Samson added.

The 27-year-old, who has played in 7 ODIs and 16 T20Is so far, says getting a place on the Indian side is difficult because there is so much competition.
”It does get challenging. Finding a place in the Indian team is challenging. There is a lot of competition around, even among players who are on the team now. When these things happen, it is important to focus on me,” Samson said in response to a question.

“It truly gets difficult. Finding a spot on the Indian team is quite difficult. There is a lot of competition around, even among current team members. When these things happen, I need to focus on myself,” Samson responded to a question.
”I am happy with the way I am performing. I want to improve…,” he added. Samson will be leading India A in the three List A games against New Zealand A, starting in Chennai from Thursday.

“Our team has unbelievable cricketers of the highest caliber. As a result, it aids everyone in raising their level. We never stop pushing ourselves. Every chance we get, we aim to deliver,” Samson added.
