Indian pacer Jasprit Bumrah has been named as the best T20 bowler ever by former English cricketer Michael Vaughan. The English cricketer's statement came after Bumrah helped India win back-to-back T20 World Cups.
Jasprit is often regarded as India's ace card in ICC events, which has made India one of the most invincible sides in modern-day international cricket. The speedster has cast his spell on almost every track and under all conditions in the world. Whenever India needs one bowler to fire in, Jasprit Bumrah steps up for the Men in Blue.
He will be seen in action for the Mumbai Indians in the upcoming IPL 2026, as his franchise clashes in their first game against the Kolkata Knight Riders at Mumbai's Wankhede Stadium on the 29th of March.
Michael Vaughan picks Jasprit Bumrah as the greatest ever T20 bowler
Former English batter Michael Vaughan has never tried to hide his immense respect for the Indian pacer. On multiple occasions, the Englishman has admitted that, undoubtedly, Bumrah is among the greatest ever pace bowlers in today's world.
Speaking of T20 cricket, which did not witness the likes of legendary pacemen Wasim Akram, Courtney Walsh, Malcom Marshall, Glenn McGrath, or Curtly Ambrose, Vaughan didn't hesitate to name Bumrah as the greatest ever T20 bowler.

Jasprit Bumrah's extraordinary contribution to India's T20 WC triumph
Jasprit Bumrah was India's best bowler in the ICC T20 World Cup 2024. Despite having fewer wickets than Arshdeep Singh in the tournament, he was named the Player of the Tournament for his impactful spells, which choked the opposition economically.
Bumrah picked 15 wickets in that World Cup and did not give away runs at an economy rate greater than 6, which made the other bowlers in the Indian attack lethal, as the batters had to take unoptimized risks against them.

Not suiting his standards in 2026, Bumrah made an okayish start to the T20 World Cup 2026, but he picked wickets and bowled brilliantly whenever India needed him to step up on bigger occasions.
He picked two crucial early wickets against Pakistan, was India's best bowler against South Africa, choked the opposition for runs in the semi-final, and bowled a standout spell in the finals to lead India to their second World Cup title in two years. He was the Player of the Match in the final.
Where does Bumrah stand in the ICC T20I bowling rankings?
The legendary Indian pacer Jasprit Bumrah has currently been the greatest ever bowler in the shortest format of the game. He has been a true master of the format, be it whichever league they played in.
Bumrah is currently ranked sixth in the ICC Men's Bowling Rankings in T20Is. Varun Chakravarthy, the Indian spinner, was replaced by Rashid Khan in the ICC Rankings. Jasprit Bumrah was ranked seventh before the World Cup, and he took a lead by one position, replacing Adam Zampa.
Michael Vaughan's countryman, Adil Rashid, also rose to a position and took the number 4 position in the ICC Men's Rankings.
