Former India Skipper Mohammad Azharuddin Survives An Injury Scare After Car Accident In Rajasthan

In a major turn of events, former Indian captain Mohammad Azharuddin survived a car crash on Wednesday in the Soorwal region of Rajasthan.

Azharuddin’s car took a near fateful blow during the accident that took place near the Soorwal police station on Kota mega highway. He was traveling to Ranthambore along with his family on Wednesday where his car met with an accident. A person traveling with Azharuddin suffered a minor injury but the former skipper escaped unhurt, according to his personal assistant.

Mohammad Azharuddin was in Ahmedabad last week where he attended the Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) in his capacity as the president of Hyderabad Cricket Association.

He also featured in the exhibition match played between Sourav Ganguly XI and Jay Shah XI.

Azharuddin featured for Jay Shah’s XI and scored a match-winning 37 as both sides played at the rebuilt Motera Stadium, which is set to host 2 Tests and 5 T20I against England in February-March 2021.
