The world of cricket is already buzzing with various reports of the IPL 2025 mega auction. The BCCI had a meeting with all the IPL franchises on July 31 to discuss the roadmap ahead of IPL 2025.

They had debates on several important points but the two standouts were the number of retentions and the future of the Impact Player rule. Several IPL franchises were not in support of the rule being continued in the future.

SRH owner Kavya Maran had a huge debate about retentions. She requested the BCCI to allow teams to have at least 7-8 retentions so that they can retain much of the core of the side. She further requested the BCCI to ban overseas players for two years who do not turn up to play in the season after enrolling themselves.

The BCCI in response has said that it will come out with a decision by the end of the month after reviewing all the decisions put forward by all the franchises. The Indian players constitute more than 60 percent of an IPL franchise. It is they who almost decide the fate of the franchise and how well they will play in this tournament.

Sadly before the IPL 2025 mega auction, teams will need to let go of a few Indian players to rebuild the core of the squad. It is a rather strenuous job for every franchise which is why they are against mega auctions. In this article, we predict three players KKR will release ahead of IPL 2025 mega auctions.

Speaking about KKR, they won the IPL 2024 title. This was their third IPL title win and the first under Shreyas Iyer. This was also the first time KKR won the title in a decade. Before this in 2021, they reached the final under Eoin Morgan but lost to CSK. The return of Gautam Gambhir as mentor saw KKR play with a very different method which worked to their advantage and brought them success.

Indian Players KKR Will Release Ahead Of IPL 2025 Mega Auction

KS Bharat

KKR roped in Bharat as a backup keeper for the likes of Phil Salt and Rahmanullah Guirbaz. However, SAlt proved to be KKR's game changer and Gurbaz smoothly blended into the team after Salt's departure. With KKR looking to rebuild their squad, they will look for a better Indian keeper-batter option than Kona Bharat.

Chetan Sakariya

KKR bought Sakariya for 50 lakhs which was his base price at the auction. Like Bharat, Sakariya too was not used by Kolkata did not use him throughout the season. With Harshit Rana and Vaibhav Arora bowling well for the franchise, Sakariya was not needed. Hence he might be the second player KKR releases ahead of the mega auction,

Anukul Roy

The former U-19 India all-rounder Anukul might be the third player KKR releases. He too was used very sparingly with Sunil Narine and Varun Chakravarthy picking up most of the wickets for The Knight Riders. The two spinners took nearly 40 wickets for the franchise in their title-winning season while Roy remained wicketless.
