Rajasthan Royals has been a powerful team in IPL 2024 for the last few years. The franchise ended as runners-up in the 2022 season and has been a powerful team since the mega auction. Now, they will have another chance to form a powerful set of players.
Sanju Samson is the current skipper of Rajasthan Royals and has done a wonderful job as the captain of the side. Rajasthan Royals is one of the strongest sides in the Indian Premier League currently. They have big names like Jos Buttler, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Sanju Samson, and many others who can chase targets with ease.
In IPL 2024, Riyan Parag was the top run-getter for the side and mustered 573 runs in 14 games. Sanju Samson was next with 531 runs. In bowling, Avesh Khan got 19 wickets while Yuzvendra Chahal got 18 scalps. They will be some of the crucial members for retention.

3. Trent Boult
Trent Boult is the first player on this list. There are no doubts that Boult is among the most crucial members of Rajasthan Royals. However, it is also true that he has reached almost the end of his career.
He also played for New Zealand in ICC T20 World Cup 2024 but the team gave a poor show. Now, if Boult is not picked by any team, he might bid goodbye to the shortest format.
2. Sandeep Sharma
Sandeep Sharma is another player on this list. Sharma went unsold in a recent season and Rajasthan Royals later picked him up. He has shown a wonderful form.
The right-arm pacer has been part of many IPL seasons but he is not a regular member of the national side. Due to the mega auction, there is less chance that RR will retain him. If they don't, he might find it hard to get a new team. Hence, he might retire from T20Is.
1. Ravichandran Ashwin
Ravichandran Ashwin is another player who is part of the Rajasthan Royals. He is a veteran spinner and quite an impactful one for the side. However, Ashwin is not a T20I specialist and hence, does not come as one of the top spinners.
He has already reached 37 years of age and due to 10 teams, the competition is quite challenging for him in the Indian Premier League. If he is not retained by Rajasthan Royals, he likely gets unsold in the auction as there are many options available. Hence, in such a scenario, Ashwin might retire from T20Is.
