The Indian Cricket fans have been left fuming at the Indian management and the Indian head coach Gautam Gambhir for not picking Kuldeep Yadav in all five Tests India played against England on their soil.

The coach, as well as the new Indian skipper, have reasoned on several occasions that Kuldeep Yadav is wanted by them in the team as well; however, the inconsistent tracks of England are pushing them to look for more credible batting options.

Kuldeep Yadav ends England tour without a single field appearance

Indian spinner Kuldeep Yadav was part of India's squad that travelled to England for the five-match Test series; however, he did not feature in any of the matches. Every time after a Test, it looked like Kuldeep deserved a comeback into the playing 11, but it ended in only disappointment for the chinaman.

Unlike other spinners like Ravindra Jadeja and Washington Sundar, Kuldeep is a more genuine spinner of the red ball, as he often relies on flighted and slower deliveries.

Likely, the Indian management did not find a pitch suitable for him to feature, but the cricket pundits, as well as ICT fans, repeatedly wanted him on the side, as they believed he could be a threat to the over-aggressive English batters.

However, that was not the plan for the Indian management, Gautam Gambhir, Morne Morkel, and Shubman Gill; hence, Kuldeep returns without playing a single game.

Three Players in the Indian camp return without playing a single game

Just like Kuldeep, two more players who seemed to have deserved at least one chance in the Indian lineup were Arshdeep Singh and Abhimanyu Easwaran. They have also not featured in a single game.

India tried all of their pace bowling options in the series and played with several combinations, but did not consider bringing in Arshdeep Singh, the only left-arm pacer in the side, who could bring out a new variety to the Indian pace attack.

On the other hand, Abhimanyu Easwaran, the opening batter who has played years of successful cricket in the domestic seasons in India, has been part of the Indian team since the Border-Gavaskar Trophy in Australia in 2024/25.

Waiting since then, Easwaran is yet to get a playing 11 cap for the Indian team. Despite having a lack of players for the no. 3 spot, India did not choose to hand Abhimanyu Easwaran his debut cap.
