Gerald Coetzee Bought By Gujarat Titans For INR 2.40 crore at IPL Auction 2025

Gerald Coetzee has registered himself for the IPL 2025 mega auction at the base price of INR 1.25 crore. The South African fast-bowler played for Mumbai Indians in the last edition of the IPL.
He earned his maiden IPL contract in the 2024 auction after impressing in the 2023 ODI World Cup. On Indian pitches, Coetzee picked up an impressive 20 wickets in 8 games. 15 of those 20 wickets came in the middle-overs. Mumbai Indians secured his services for INR 5 crore.
In his debut IPL campaign, the Proteas star played 10 games and picked up 13 wickets. He can trouble batsmen with his pace and bounce and is expected to attract several teams in the auction. Coetzee is also a handy lower-order batsman.
Apart from the IPL, he has played in Major League Cricket and SA20. Overall, he has played 64 T20s and taken 86 wickets including 5 four-wicket hauls. With the bat, he has scored close to 300 runs in the shortest format of the game.

Gujarat Titans have signed up Gerald Coetzee for INR 2.40 crore at the IPL 2025 mega auction. Punjab Kings also bid for the pacer but were eventually outbid by the Titans.
