Australian all-rounder Glenn Maxwell and his wife Vini Raman were overjoyed as they became parents to a baby boy on Monday, September 11. Vini Raman and Glenn Maxwell received warm wishes from fans and cricketers for this new chapter of their lives.
Glenn Maxwell experienced soreness in his left ankle during a training session of the tour of South Africa. The swashbuckling all-rounder then returned home for the birth of his first child. Vini announced her pregnancy in May of this year, mentioning it wasn’t an easy one.

Vini Raman took to her official Instagram handle to share a picture of the baby boy. The couple revealed the name of their son as Logan Maverick Maxwell.

Maxwell and Vini, who had been dating for several years, got married in March 2022. Their exciting journey into parenthood began when Vini announced her pregnancy in May of this year.
“Glenn & I are ecstatic to announce our rainbow baby is due September 2023. It’s so important for us to acknowledge this journey has not been the smoothest or easiest,” she wrote.
“I know firsthand how painful it can be to see posts like these wondering if and when your time will be. We send our love and strength to other couples who are struggling with fertility or loss.”
“For those that aren’t aware a rainbow baby is a baby born after miscarriage, ectopic pregnancy, molar pregnancy, termination for medical reasons, stillbirth or neonatal death. It symbolizes the rainbow that happens after a storm.”
Aaron Finch’s wife, Amy, and Ben Cutting’s wife, Erin Holland, extended their warm congratulations to Glenn Maxwell and Vini Raman on the arrival of their baby boy, expressing their excitement and anticipation to meet the newborn.
Amy replied, “Congratulations you guys! We can’t wait to meet your little man.” Erin Holland also shared a heartwarming reply, “Ohhh my heart! Congratulations you two. Perfect little man.”
Glenn Maxwell has been named in Australia’s 15-member preliminary squad for the upcoming ODI World Cup in India. The right-handed batter is expected to make his comeback in the three-match ODI series against India, which is set to be played between September 22 and 27.
