The Global Power Cricket League 2022 (GPCL T20 ) will kick off with Sri Lankan Violets and South African Emeralds squaring off in the opening game of the tournament . The final of the tournament will be played on October 9, 2022 in New Delhi .

The first edition features eight teams: Indian Sapphires, Scottish Mulberries, England Reds, Sri Lankan Violets, South Emeralds, Australian Golds, Irish Olives, and American Indigos.The teams are split into two groups . Indian Sapphires, Scottish Mulberries, American Indigos, and English Reds make up Pool A. Pool B includes Australian golds, South African emeralds, Sri Lankan violets, and Irish olives.
