Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) batter Ramandeep Singh has been punished for breaching the IPL Code of Conduct during his team’s 18-run win against the Mumbai Indians (MI) in the 60th match of the ongoing IPL 2024 at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata on May 11.
Ramandeep was found guilty of committing a Level 1 offense as per Article 2.20 of the IPL Code of Conduct. In an official statement, the IPL confirmed that the KKR batter had been fined 20 percent of his match fees for the offense, which they didn’t reveal.
The 27-year-old player admitted to the offense and accepted the sanction imposed by the match referee. Notably, for Level 1 breaches in the IPL Code of Conduct, the decisions made by the match referee are considered final and binding, so there is no need for a formal hearing.
