Nitish Rana had a hilarious reaction to commentator Harsha Bhogle wanting an update on his finger injury on Monday (May 13).

Before the game against Gujarat Titans at the Narendra Modi Stadium, Harsha Bhogle interviewed the Kolkata Knight Riders star. Nitish Rana suffered a finger injury that sidelined him for more than a month during the ongoing IPL 2024 as he missed ten games.

He played in the first game of the season against Sunrisers Hyderabad on March 23 before taking the field again on May 11 when KKR welcomed Mumbai Indians at the Eden Gardens. And as Nitish Rana came for the interview on Monday, Harsha Bhogle decided to start the conversation by asking him about the finger.

"Nitish Rana is with us. Generally, during interviews, one is expected to look towards the face, but I can only focus on your hand. Is everything fine?" asked Bhogle.

In reply, Nitish Rana came up with a hilarious response, saying: "Yes sir, everything is well. I cannot show you the finger because it's the middle finger."

Meanwhile, the game between Gujarat Titans and KKR was washed out without a ball being bowled. As a result, KKR have confirmed their place in the top two of the points table while GT have been knocked out of IPL 2024.

Nitish Rana on his comeback:

After the game against Mumbai Indians, Nitish Rana revealed that he couldn’t sleep all night due to anxiety before his comeback game. He revealed that he could not even touch the bat for the first 20-22 days as he struggled with the injury.

"For the first 20-22 days I didn’t even touch the bat due to injury. After that, I began batting with one hand and did whatever I could. When I was sitting alone, I would visualise my innings.

"To be honest, I couldn’t sleep the whole night, it felt as if I was going to play the first game of the IPL because I was suddenly included in the team after ten great games. Hence, I slept at around 8:30 am as I couldn’t sleep all night due to anxiety. These are the things which keep that hunger inside of you alive," Rana had said in the post-match press conference.
