ujarat Titans (GT) and Mumbai Indians (MI) will be facing each other in the Eliminator of the ongoing IPL 2025. The match will take place on Friday (May 30) at the Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium, Mullanpur, New Chandigarh.

The winner of the game will qualify for the second qualifier and will play against Punjab Kings for a place in the final. On the other hand, the losing team will be eliminated from the tournament.

Both GT and MI are coming into this game on the back of a loss in their last league game and will be looking to bounce back. GT faced Chennai Super Kings in their last game and suffered a crushing 83-run defeat while MI suffered a 7-wicket defeat at the hands of Punjab Kings.

The Eliminator will be the third match between GT and MI this season. Both the teams played two games against each other during the league game. GT won both the games and will be fancying their chances of winning the Eliminator as well while MI will be hoping to be third time lucky.

GT vs MI: MI opts to bat

MI have decided to bat first after winning the GT vs MI toss. Speaking at the toss, MI captain Hardik Pandya said: "We're going to bat. Looks like a different track to yesterday. Bit of less grass. Big game, scoring runs and defending would be nice. We all are aware, for the last 9 games we have been playing it like a knockout.

"Really need to turn up today and focus on the things which we can control. We've got three changes: Jonny comes back, Gleeson makes his debut and Raj Angad Bawa plays," he added.

GT captain Shubman Gill said: "We would've chased. If someone would've said at the start of the season that we would've qualified, we would've taken it. Boys are very excited to be able to come back here in Chandigarh, it's my home town.

"This game is no different for us, no pressure of the knockout game or anything. Two changes - Mendis comes in for Buttler and Washington for Arshad," he added at GT vs MI Toss.
