Mumbai Indians (MI) will take on the Gujarat Titans (GT) in the 56th match of IPL 2025. This article provides details about Gujarat Titans' Playing 11 vs Mumbai Indians for match 56 of IPL 2025.
Gujarat Titans Playing 11 vs Mumbai Indians- IPL 2025, Match 56:
Openers: Shubman Gill (c), Sai Sudharshan
Shubman Gill will open the innings for Gujarat Titans along with an in-form Sai Sudharshan.
Gill, who has scored back-to-back half-centuries, would like to replicate his rich vein of form in the upcoming game against the Mumbai Indians.
Sai Sudharsan, on the other hand, is in a different race with Virat Kohli and Suryakumar Yadav to claim the orange cap, having scored more than 450 runs in the tournament so far.
The left-hander would like to go a step further and bat right till the end to guide GT to yet another 200-plus total in the third consecutive game while batting first at the Wankhede Stadium.
Middle-order batsmen and all-rounders: Jos Buttler (wk), Shahrukh Khan, Sherfane Rutherford, Rahul Tewatia, Rashid Khan, Washington Sundar
GT would like their middle-order batters to deliver another solid performance in the next game against the Mumbai Indians and register their fifth win over the former champions.
GT's batting in the middle order will be led by Jos Buttler, who has been in terrific form in the ongoing season and is coming on the back of an attacking half-century against SRH.
The wicketkeeper batter provided a strong finish to the team courtesy of his hard-hitting abilities in the final five overs of the innings.
Gujarat Titans has made a smart choice with the selection of the impact substitute between Washington Sundar and Sherfane Rutherford.
Having said that, GT has decided to change the strategy and has gone with Washington Sundar in the playing XI, but hasn't used him as a frontline bowler in the last few games.
Bowlers: Sai Kishore, Mohammed Siraj, Prasidh Krishna, Ishant Sharma
Mohammed Siraj regained his form and was able to make a solid comeback after going for runs in the first couple of overs in the last match against SRH.
Prasidh Krishna has been the pick of the bowlers for GT in IPL 2025 and is among the leading wicket-takers in the ongoing edition.
Although GT looks like a well-rounded team despite a one-sided loss against the Rajasthan Royals, the former champions would like to pick up wickets in the middle overs.
Gujarat Titans' management would hope for the third fast bowling option of experienced Ishant Sharma to give good support to the duo of Siraj and Krishna.
Although Gujarat Titans' fast bowling department has done its job, the Shubman Gill-led side would be concerned about the form of the spin duo of Sai Kishore and Rashid Khan. Sai Kishore, in particular, has gone off the radar.
The lack of form of Rashid and Kishore hasn't haunted GT yet, but the 2022 IPL Champions would like to rectify that blip in the upcoming game against the Mumbai Indians.
