India batter Hanuma Vihari has taken a massive u-turn. Five months after announcing his decision to leave Andhra Pradesh, the right-hander confirmed that he would continue playing for the same state in domestic cricket.

Hanuma Vihari's decision to stay in Andhra Pradesh comes after the change in government, which is run by TDP now. The right-hander last year announced publicly that he would be leaving the team because of political interference, and he wasn't treated well. He had some issues with young players and even the association was against him. He also was removed as the captain of the team as the board supported a youngster, who had a political connection.

Hanuma Vihari then expressed his desire to play for some other state. He asked for the NOC from the Andhra Pradesh Cricket Association, but after a denial of 6 months, he was allowed to play for Madhya Pradesh. But ahead of the domestic season, he will be featuring for his previous team.

While talking about his decision to play for Andhra Pradesh, Hanuma Vihari said that his commitment to play for the state remains strong. He admitted that he has been asked to stay and he's happy that he is valued for his contribution. Speaking to Cricbuzz, he explained:

"I have played for India representing Andhra, so my commitment to state cricket remains strong. There were reasons for my initial decision to leave, but I have been persuaded to stay. I feel valued for my contributions and am happy to continue playing for Andhra."

Hanuma Vihari also talked about taking over the captaincy of the team. He stated that if he will be given the chance, he will be happy to captain the team again. He stated: "If given captaincy, I will be happy to lead the state."

Hanuma Vihari, while talking about his decision to stay, stated that the CM of Andhra Pradesh and his son wanted him to play for Andhra Pradesh, and he accepted their demand and was ready to do anything for the state. He explained:

"Mr Chandrababu Naidu (Chief Minister of AP), Mr Pawan Kalyan (Deputy Chief Minister), and Lokesh Naidu (a minister and son of Chandrababu) immediately expressed their solidarity with me. After the recent elections and change of government, Lokesh requested that I stay on, and I have agreed. I am ready to do everything for Andhra."

A new body to be formed in the Andhra Pradesh Cricket Association

The report in Cricbuzz also stated that after the change in government in Andhra Pradesh, office-bearers of the Andhra Cricket Association (ACA) have resigned. Following this, a special general meeting has been scheduled for Sunday related to the same.

It is learned that resignations of all the office-bearers of the Andhra Cricket Association (ACA) will be accepted. The new elections for the association will be called for in the meeting that is due to take place in Vijayawada on August 4.
