Hanuma Vihari Shuts Down An Instagram User For His 'Why Don’t You Pay Man' Comment

Despite being miles away from his country, Indian middle-order batsman Hanuma Vihari continues to cater to the needs of the people of the country in fighting the second wave of the COVID-19. Hanuma Vihari has been constantly meeting the needs of the common people through social media, knowing the best way he could. He also created a group of 100 volunteers to provide needy people plasma, oxygen cylinders and hospital beds. While he has earned recognition from most fans for his deeds, one of them questioned it, leaving the Indian cricketer angry.

The incident occurred on Saturday when on Instagram, he echoed the financial needs of a lady, needing financial help, with her brother and father fighting for their lives on the ventilator. As the comments section got filled with praises for Hanuma Vihari, an unimpressed fan asked the 27-year old to pay the required money. It left him livid and he blasted the Instagram user with strong words.

The fan wrote on Hanuma Vihari’s Instagram post, “Why don’t you pay man !!!! You’re a famous athlete”. Vihari hit back by saying, “It’s a shame but india is in this position because there are people like you living in this country. Real shame!!”. The gritty middle-order batsman earlier asserted that he wants to help people at the ground level and has no intention of grabbing the spotlight.

Hanuma Vihari’s mediocre performances in the ongoing County Championship:

Meanwhile, Hanuma Vihari has not delivered as per expectations in the ongoing County Championship in England for Warwickshire. The 27-year old has scores of 0 and 8 against Nottinghamshire, 32 and 52 against Essex, and finally 0 and 8 against Durham as well.

But Vihari, who has got the nod for the ICC World Test Championship final against New Zealand in Southampton and the subsequent five-match Test series against England, would have learned his lessons to perform better moving forward. He already has four centuries in 12 Tests and scored 624 runs at 32.84, but might not play against New Zealand.
