Virat Kohli's poor form continued in Australia as the veteran was dismissed for just 5 runs off 12 balls in the first innings of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25. Kohli was surprised by the extra bounce and edged the ball to Usman Khawaja at first slip.

It was a short of a length ball that climbed awkwardly on Kohli as he got an edge through to Khawaja who took one of the easiest catches of his career. It was an excellent ball from Josh Hazlewood, who kept persisting on a tight line and length.

After his dismissal, Kohli was under fire and received plenty of criticism on social media. The users were unhappy with him and lashed out at him for poor form. Here are some of their reactions to X (formerly Twitter).

Virat Kohli's poor form continues

Virat Kohli has been going through a rough patch recently in India's home Test season where he endured difficult outings with the bat against Bangladesh and New Zealand.

The 36-year-old scored just 93 runs in three Tests at an average of 15.50 against New Zealand as India suffered a humiliating whitewash at home 0-3.

Kohli has a good record in Australia having scored more than 6 Test hundreds in the country and averaging more than 50. He will be looking to leave this innings behind and return amongst the runs soon.
