'Haq Se India'- A Film On India's 2007 T20 World Cup To Be Released Soon- Reports

A film will be made on the Indian cricket team’s 2007 T20 World Cup triumph in South Africa.

On Friday, India completed 14 years of the glorious moment and on an auspicious day, London based One One Six Network Limited announced its maiden project, ‘Haq Se India’ film.

Global sports executive and human brands expert Gaurav Bahirvani, along with London based stockbroker Jaideep Pandya and Mumbai based director and filmmaker Saugat Bhattacharya have come together to reminisce the historic moment for the Indian cricket fans on big screens.

“If 1983 made us the world champions for the first time, then 2007 marked the beginning of our dominance in world cricket, and it still continues. Haq Se India is the celebration of our heroes from the 2007 T20 world cup squad.

“I am very excited to start our celluloid journey with this special project and I sincerely hope that this film and our title track will win the hearts of the audience,” Gaurav Bahirvani was quoted as saying in a report published by news agency ANI.

“It has been a long 14 year wait for India to win a big cup in T20 cricket, and to know what winning is, we wanted to go back to the beginning and talk to the men who brought India the glory. Haq Se India is the spirit of today’s India that demands what it deserves,” Jaideep Pandya was quoted as saying in the same report.

Salim-Sulaiman to compose title track for Haq se India

According to the report, the film will be released on one of the OTT platforms and it also includes a title track composed by the duo of Salim-Sulaiman.

India defeated arch-rivals Pakistan in the final of the 2007 T20 World Cup as the match was decided in the final over. Sreesanth took a catch of Misbah-ul-Haq off Joginder Sharma’s bowling as India won the game by five runs in Johannesburg, South Africa.
