Harbhajan Singh as India coach set to become reality very soon

In a significant development, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is all set to make some reforms in the grassroots level setups. As per the latest reports, the board cam appoint some of the former Team India players like Zaheer Khan and Harbhajan Singh.
If the reports are to be believed, then Harbhajan Singh can be appointed as a coach, along with Zaheer Khan.

VVS Laxman, the former India batter, the Head of Cricket at the BCCI's Centre of Excellence (formerly NCA) in Bengaluru, is reportedly trying to bring in some former Team India cricketers in the camp to groom the emerging cricketers. Young cricketers will be thrilled and charged as well to get Zaheer Khan or Harbhajan Singh as their coaches, as per PTI.
It is reported that BCCI's Centre of Excellence (CoE) is organising a five-day Specialised red ball Camps with players from India U-19, and India-A Team. Zaheer Khan is appointed to look after the young pacers, while Harbhajan Singh can be appointed to train the spinners.

According to reports, the CoE will arrange an off-spinner's camp as well, where the Punjab-born can be in charge. The dates for the anticipated 5-day camp have yet to be declared.
After the departure of Troy Cooley, as he turned 60, the CoE is running without a fast bowling coach. On February 9, this year, BCCI began accepting applications in search of the next fast bowling coach. Media reports claimed that Zaheer Khan will be the new fast bowling coach during the special camp.
"A batch of fast bowlers has been invited from state associations for a special fast-bowling camp from Feb 28- March 2 at CoE in Bengaluru under the tutelage of Zaheer. Head of cricket at CoE, VVS Laxman, has taken a keen interest in this initiative," a BCCI source told Times of India.
Will Zaheer Khan work as a full-time coach at CoE?
Though it will be interesting to see whether Zaheer will like to take a full-time job at the CoE. He has experience in coaching. The former pac, who worked with the Lucknow Super Giants in the Indian Premier League in the recent past.
"Zaheer is very keen on taking up coaching roles. He was involved with Lucknow Super Giants and believes he can help the next generation of cricketers. It’s a good sign that a fast bowler of his stature has shown interest in BCCI programmes. However, it needs to be seen if he wants to take up a full-time job at CoE as it will require him to commit a lot of time away from his family," the source told the media house.
Apart from Zaheer's part, there are also no official statements from the board about Harbhajan Singh. In the coming days, the board may announce the dates for the camps and will reveal the trainer names as well.
