Cricket experts and former cricketers have all spoken as to whether Babar could join Virat Kohli in the elite group, and former India cricketer Harbhajan Singh came out strongly.
With Pakistan skipper Babar Azam’s ascension in international cricket as a result of his extraordinary dependability and determination to score games for his team, the discussion over whether the teenager should be considered a member of the famed Fab Four is becoming more heated.
Previous captains Kohli, Joe Root, Steve Smith, and current New Zealand captain Kane Williamson make up the Fantastic Four. Cricketers have nicknamed them the “Fab Four of World Cricket” due to various opportunities to dominate games and consistently score throughout formats.
Babar has shown similar characteristics earlier in his game, prompting speculation that he could be a member of the group.
Babar Azam has the quality: Harbhajan Singh
While it may be a little early to draw any conclusions in this argument, Harbhajan Singh stated that Babar could end his career as “one of cricket’s legends.”
“I believe it is too early to say whether he will be able to join the Fab Four.” I’m not even sure who the Fab 4 are.” But Babar has the talent; he is a true batsman with a high degree of certainty and discipline.
“He will go down in cricket history as one of the greatest of all time. But it’s too soon to call him in any category at this point. Allow him to play and continue to score runs and win games for his club. And in terms of skill, he’s on a level with anyone else,” Harbhajan Singh remarked.
Babar has contested 40 Tests, 86 One-Day Internationals, and 74 Twenty-20 Internationals for Pakistan, scoring 2851, 4261, and 2686 runs with 23 international hundreds and 65 half-centuries.
