Veteran spinner Harbhajan Singh has hilariously teased his former teammate Mohammad Kaif after the latter criticised Team India’s poor performance against Australia in the Adelaide Test. Mohammad Kaif took to Twitter to point out the problems which could have been the reason behind Team India’s humiliating batting performance.

India’s bowlers had put them on top by bowling out Australia for a modest 191 in the first innings and giving the team a handy lead of 53 runs. However, the batsmen failed to make the most of the opportunity as Australia bowled out India for a paltry 36, their lowest ever score in Tests. India’s previous lowest score in Tests was 42 they had scored against England way back in 1974.

Not a single batsman managed to touch the double-digit mark with Mayank Agarwal’s 9 being the highest score. Pat Cummins and Josh Hazlewood produced sensational performances to blow India away. Hazlewood picked up 5 wickets for just eight runs while Cummins accounted for four wickets while giving away 21 runs.

Following the defeat, Mohammad Kaif took to Twitter to criticise the Indian batsmen. The former cricketer-turned-commentator pointed out that practicing for the Test format was different from playing in the limited overs and the longest format of the game involved improving “correct technique and temperament”.

“36/9 came on a bright sunny Adelaide morning and not at twilight as many feared. Pink or red ball, Test match batting is all about correct technique and temperament. Limited over games or limited time at nets can’t prepare you for a Test,” wrote Mohammad Kaif.

This is when Harbhajan Singh decided to pull his former teammate’s legs. While Mohammad Kaif’s tweet was being praised by the fans, Harbhajan Singh reacted to it in a hilarious manner, writing:

“Bhai Sahb itni angreji”, which roughly translates to “Brother so much English”.
