A number of Team India stars have gained big in the latest ICC T20I Rankings, released by the governing body of the game on Wednesday (October 9).

Team India returned to T20Is last Sunday (October 6) by taking on Bangladesh in the first of the three-match series. The Suryakumar Yadav-led side completely outplayed the beleaguered visitors, thrashing them by seven wickets to take the lead in the series.

Asked to bat first, Bangladesh were all out for a modest total of 127. At one stage, they were reeling at 57/5 and it looked like they would not even reach the 100-run mark. However, an unbeaten knock of 35 runs from Mehidy Hasan Miraz helped the tourists post a respectable total. For India, Varun Chakravarthy and Arshdeep Singh picked up three wickets each.

With the bat, India chased down the total inside 12 overs. Former vice-captain Hardik Pandya starred with the bat, scoring an unbeaten 39 runs to take the team home with utmost ease. The likes of Sanju Samson (29) and Suryakumar (29) played crucial knocks too.
