Indian All-rounder and Vice-captain Hardik Pandya has spoken for the first time amid the controversy that is surrounding him and his wife Natasa Stankovic.

Hardik Pandya has been going through a lot since getting injured at the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 on home soil. Ever since rolling his right ankle over the ball during a league game against Bangladesh, Pandya has been marred with plenty of controversy. It all started after he made his comeback to the Mumbai Indians from the Gujarat Titans before the auctions for IPL 2024.

The All-rounder's comeback to his first-ever IPL franchise was accepted by the fans but there was another thing that they couldn't digest at all. Mumbai Indians and Rohit Sharma faithful couldn't accept the fact that the MI management had handed over the captaincy reigns from Rohit to Hardik Pandya with a snap.

The news of Hardik Pandya becoming the new captain was confirmed on November 2023, the same month when India lost the World Cup final in Ahmedabad. MI fans started to troll Pandya for becoming the new captain and things took an even uglier turn when the 2024 IPL edition began.

Wherever Hardik Pandya went, the crowd made sure to pass on ridiculous chants. The MI fans did nothing to motivate their new captain but they did everything they could to put the All-rounder in a negative space. Things aggravated further when the Mumbai Indians struggled to win a match under Pandya's captaincy.

All the blame for MI's losses was passed on to Hardik Pandya with many former cricketers also slamming him for his poor captaincy skills. One of the major reasons why he has been bashed by the expert pundits was the bowling changes during matches. Mumbai's journey in the IPL, instead of changing, degraded further.

The 5-time champions eventually finished 10th in the IPL 2024 points table with Kolkata Knight Riders winning the tournament. After MI's season came to an end, Hardik Pandya flew over to New York for the ICC T20 World Cup 2024. And only a few weeks ago, reports started circulating that Pandya and his wife Natasa Stankovic are reportedly getting divorced.

The topic is catching heat with each passing day and people on social media have made it a trending topic. Both Natasa and Hardik are yet to comment on the same and the information about their divorce is still quite unclear.

Hardik posts on X for the first time since the rumors about divorce with Natasa Stankovic

The Indian vice-captain posted on social media for the first time since the divorce rumors with wife Natasa Stankovic. He took to X (formerly Twitter) and provided an update about being on National duty for the ICC T20 World Cup 2024 in the USA and West Indies.

His latest X post depicted the Indian players gearing up for the World Cup and practicing at a local ground in New York.
