India all-rounder Hardik Pandya has been doing rounds for the last few weeks. The Mumbai Indians captain has dealt with both highs and lows within a month, and despite that, he has ensured that a smile stays on his face even through the hardest phase of life.

Hardik Pandya became the hero of the India National Cricket Team after he made vital contributions with the bat and ball in the T20 World 2024. The agony of the fans for taking over the leadership of Mumbai Indians from Rohit Sharma all turned into love after he helped the team win the title in Barbados.

Hardik Pandya turned out to be the best in the tournament as he contributed equally well to the team with the bat and ball in the T20 World Cup 2024. He made a huge impact as he scored 144 runs at an average of 48.00 and a strike rate of 151.57 in six innings and was even more exceptional with the ball. He bagged 11 wickets in 25 overs at an economy rate of 7.64.

But after guiding India to the T20 World Cup 2024 win, things haven't been going right for Hardik Pandya. The all-rounder, a few days after the tournament, announced his separation from his wife Natasa Stankovic but claimed that the couple would mutually take care of their son Agastya.

After announcing their divorce from Hardik Pandya, Natasa Stankovic also left India and went back to her hometown along with her son Agastya. As she reached her hometown, she posted a picture with her son on her Instagram account of a wildlife outing:

However, what caught the attention of many was Hardik Pandya also commented on that post. The all-rounder added two comments with emojis.

Here's the post:

Hardik Pandya wasn't named captain of Team India in T20I

After the T20 World Cup 2024, India captain Rohit Sharma announced his retirement from T20I cricket. With Hardik Pandya being the vice-captain of the team, it was expected that the all-rounder would captain the team in the format but it wasn't the case as management named Suryakumar Yadav as leader.

Hardik Pandya was named as the captain of the team when Rohit Sharma was rested ahead of the T20 World Cup 2024. And it was almost certain that he would be named as the new captain. But newly appointed head coach Gautam Gambhir and chief selector Ajit Agarkar weren't keen to give him a role.

During the press conference when asked about Hardik Pandya's snub as captain, chief selector Ajit Agarkar mentioned that Hardik Pandya's injury history and workload management were major factors behind him not getting captaincy. He also mentioned that 'dressing room feedback' was taken into consideration to name Suryakumar as captain.

Hardik Pandya now will be seen in action during the upcoming T20I series against Sri Lanka. He has opted for rest in the ODIs. The T20I series between the teams will begin from 27th July.
