All-rounder Hardik Pandya played a crucial role in Team India's seven-run victory over England in the T20 World Cup 2026 semi-final at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. Hardik's son Agastya and girlfriend Mahieka Sharma were spotted in the stands watching the high-voltage clash on Thursday, March 5.
The Men in Blue posted a massive total of 253/7 after being asked to bat first. Pandya scored 27 runs off 12 balls, including three boundaries and two sixes. In response, England reached 246 runs for the loss of seven wickets. The Baroda all-rounder picked up two wickets for 38 runs in his four-over quota.

A video from the match went viral, showing Agastya getting visibly angry in the stands during the game. Mahieka Sharma was seen calming the young boy down as Hardik Pandya walked back to the dressing room following his dismissal.

Hardik is currently dating model Mahieka following his divorce from his former wife Natasa Stankovic. Agastya, who lives with his mother Natasa, attended the crucial semi-final match to support his father.
Off the field, Hardik recently gifted Agastya and Natasa a black Land Rover Defender worth around Rs 4 crore. Meanwhile, Hardik and Mahieka made their relationship public in October 2025 and have often been seen together since then.

Hardik came into bat late in the innings after England captain Harry Brook won the toss and elected to bowl first. The flamboyant all-rounder played a crucial role with the bat in the death overs. He smashed a valuable 27 runs off just 12 balls with the help of three fours and two sixes.
He also played a crucial role during England's run chase by picking up two key wickets. Hardik produced a decisive fielding moment by running out England’s centurion Jacob Bethell, whose brilliant 105 almost took the game away.
India's bowlers held their nerve in the death overs to restrict England to 246/7. The Men in Blue secured a spot against New Zealand, led by Mitchell Santner, in the final at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Sunday.

Sanju Samson scored 89 off 42 balls, including eight sixes and seven boundaries. It was his second consecutive half-century of the tournament. Samson built key partnerships with Ishan Kishan, who made 39 off 18, and Shivam Dube, who scored 43 off 25.
England stayed in the contest, but India remained calm in the final overs. Jasprit Bumrah bowled a crucial 18th over that gave away just six runs, while Hardik Pandya followed with a tight penultimate over. England eventually finished on 246/7, falling short by seven runs.
India also crossed 80 sixes in the tournament, beating their previous record of 61. It is worth mentioning that it was India's sixth-highest score in T20I cricket. They had smashed 297/6 against Bangladesh in Hyderabad two years ago.
