The emergence of Razaullah has raised question marks about Haris Rauf's international career with the Pakistan National Cricket Team. In a recent interview, Rauf, an experienced fast bowler with some batting qualities, confessed that he will not be able to match the batting intensity of Razaullah.
Razaullah, a 21-year-old batting all-rounder who was included in the Test squad of the Pakistan National Cricket Team after the snubbing of seven cricketers midway through the Test series in England, performed impressively in Birmingham through his fast bowling skills and then with aggressive batting.

In modern-day cricket, batting skills are considered one of the most necessary elements to leave a positive impression in international cricket. Razaullah ticked all the boxes as a pace bowler and a tail-end batter.
In the third Test of the Three-Test series, the emerging cricketer took 4 wickets and scored 92 runs, including an 81-run knock. Before batting, it was his pace that caught the cricket fans' attention across the cricket world. Razaullah bowled in his first spell for the Pakistan cricket team at around 145 kmph.
Haris Rauf has played only 1 Test for Pakistan
Haris Rauf was also considered one of the brightest prospects coming out of the Pakistan cricket team cycle. Like most pacers who played for the national team in the past few years, Rauf is yet to reach his peak. As Haris Rauf and Razaullah both share a similar profile as bowling all-rounders, he is unlikely to rejoin the Test setup soon.
Rauf has so far played only one Test match for Pakistan in his career, and that too he played in 2022. In that match against England in Rawalpindi, the pacer grabbed only 1 wicket and, with the bat, produced a high score of 12. In comparison, Razaullah's appearance in England was shaped in a more promising way.

Talking in an interview, the experienced bowler mentioned that he will try to back into the Test team and will try to do his best for the team.
"Obviously, whenever you are playing cricket, you are playing for a purpose. Obviously, we have our Test Series as well. I will try to put my name in the Test Series. Just like Pakistan needs me, I will try to serve as much as I can in Pakistan's Test Cricket. Let's see what happens. There are a lot of matches left. I am working on my things," Rauf said.
"I have taken 10 wickets as a bowler. I would like that more. For me. And no doubt, the way he has played in the innings, it was necessary for Pakistan at that time to set a good total. Unfortunately, we were not able to defend it."
