Harmanpreet Kaur out, Smriti Mandhana to lead as India Women's squad for Ireland series announced

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced the India Women's National Cricket Team squad for the upcoming ODI series against the Ireland Women's National Cricket Team. Skipper Harmanpreet Kaur, along with pacer Renuka Singh, has been rested for the series.
India Women's National Cricket Team will be hosting Ireland's Women's National Cricket Team in the three-match ODI series. The first match will be played on 10th January, followed by the second match to be played on 12th January. The last game will played on 15th January with all the matches to be played at the Niranjan Shah Stadium in Rajkot.
Smriti Mandhana will be captaining India in the absence of Harmanpreet Kaur in the three-match ODI series against Ireland
In the absence of Harmanpreet Kaur, Smriti Mandhana will be captaining the team in the three-match ODI series against Ireland. All-rounder Deepti Sharma has been named as the vice-captain of the team. The squad is very similar to what they fielded in the series against West Indies Women's National Cricket Team.
In place of Harmanpreet Kaur, Pratika Rawal has been added to the team for the three games against Ireland. While Sayali Satghare will fill in the shoes of Renuka Singh in the series. Maharashtra batter Tejal Hasabnis also has been added to the squad of the India Women's National Cricket Team.

India would be entering the series on high, having delivered a staggering performance in the last series against the West Indies Women's National Cricket Team. Under the leadership of Harmanpreet Kaur, the hosts completed the 3-0 whitewash and now Smriti Mandhana would be hoping to emulate the same.
Smriti Mandhana has been in the red hot form in the ODIs. The opening batter has been scoring truckloads of runs for the team at the top. The three-match ODI series against the Ireland Women's National Cricket Team will be another opportunity for her to carry her form and take the team to glory.
