Uncapped KKR right-arm seamer Harshit Rana has admitted that he won't even dare to try and bring out the flying kiss celebration in front of Virat Kohli.

Harshit Rana, who won his first IPL title with KKR last month, was all over the news from his first match of the season against SunRisers Hyderabad. The Delhi-based pacer did make the news but for the wrong reasons. During Kolkata's opener against SRH at the Eden Gardens, Rana had given a "Flying Kiss" send-off to opening batsman Mayank Agarwal

Harshit Rana's celebratory gesture was not welcomed by the IPL and BCCI authorities and the bowler was stripped off 10% of his match fees for that. He was also asked to keep his behavior and wild celebrations in check. After a few matches without doing anything uncanny, Rana was under the hammer again when he almost brought out half flying kiss celebration again.

He had just taken the wicket of Delhi Capitals' Abishek Porel and was ready to blow a kiss from his palm but he suddenly stopped after realizing that he was reprimanded for it. But the authorities upstairs knew Harshit Rana had the intention to go wild again and therefore, they handed the bowler with a one-match ban.

Harshit Rana explains how and why he passed a flying kiss to Mayank Agarwal

Harshit Rana was in conversation with Shubhankar Mishra recently and therein he was asked to shed light on his flying kiss celebration. The right-arm pacer made an admission that he didn't do it with any wrong intention and that it happened in the heat of the moment.

Rana said that he had gotten very close to Mayank Agarwal during his follow through and the flying kiss celebration was an instinctive one, not a premeditated one.

I didn't deliberately do it – the flying kiss. When I took the wicket of Mayank bhaiya… actually when he hit the ball in the air, I got close to him during my follow-through. It happened instinctively and it came out," Rana told Shubhankar Mishra.

The KKR seamer then revealed that everything is normal between him and Agarwal and that he explained to the latter that he had nothing against him. While explaining about his life after that incident, Harshit Rana said the flying kiss celebration is the first question that he gets asked about regardless of where he goes.

Rana claims he would never do that to Virat Kohli

When asked if he would do the same thing after getting his senior statesman Virat Kohli out or not, Harshit Rana admitted that he will never do it to him. Knowing that such things trigger Kohli to perform even better, Rana said that he will never do that in front of him or even to any other player again.

"I am telling you. I didn't pre-determine that I'll go and do it in the first match. And even in the second game. People dared me to try and do it in the RCB match. But I didn't tease him . I have respect for him. I have respect for every player, but no, I wouldn't do it in front of him," Harshit Rana concluded.
