Pakistan fast bowler Hassan Ali has taken a dig at Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chief Mohsin Naqvi about his 'major surgery' comment on the Pakistan cricket team. Naqvi had earlier stated that a major surgery needs to be done on the Pakistan team after their early exit from the T20 World Cup 2024.
A few days ago when Naqvi was asked about his earlier comment, he responded that no decision would be taken in anger and surgery will be done after a proper investigation.
“People are asking about surgery but one should not take any decision while you are angry. Whoever made wrong decisions in the selection committee will also be held accountable,” Naqvi had said as quoted by ARY News.

During a chat with a local sports journalist, Hassan Ali was asked about Mohsin Naqvi's 'major surgery' remark on the Pakistan cricket team. Ali replied by saying that it needs to be seen whether they have the required equipment to conduct the surgery.
"We need to see if we have the scissors or the surgical equipment to do the surgery. If we have, then we can do the surgery," Hassan Ali said.
Hassan Ali is currently not a regular part of Pakistan's squad. He was not a part of Pakistan's squad for the T20 World Cup 2024 as experienced pacers like Mohammad Amir were preferred over him.
Although he was in the scheme of things to get selected for the mega event when he received a call-up for the series against Ireland, his figures of 0-42 in three overs in the series decider were not able to convince the selectors. Subsequently, he was released from the squad and he went to play for Warwickshire in County cricket.
