Former India cricketer Sanjay Manjrekar is known for his controversial comments and has been in the news recently as well. He is in the news again after India's second Test defeat to New Zealand at Pune as he tried to defend the Indian team and captain Rohit Sharma.

India suffered a shocking home Test series defeat to New Zealand after losing the second Test at Pune. It was India's first loss in a Test series at home in 12 years. During this period, India won 18 consecutive Test series at home.
