"He has never not performed in World Cups"- After spending 2 months with Virat Kohli, Dinesh Karthik says this

Indian batting stalwart and former Captain Virat Kohli is not in the best of forms in the ICC T20 World Cup 2024. After showing incredible form back in the IPL 2024 season, Virat Kohli hasn't been able to score runs.
One of the reasons for this is that Kohli hasn't played as many games frequently as he played for RCB. The right-hand batter has played three games so far and has just scored 6 runs in total. He even looked good on the day India beat Pakistan in New York before a soft dismissal at the hands of Naseem Shah.
Against the USA, Kohli gave his wicket to Maharashtra-born Saurabh Netravalkar and registered his first golden duck. But many still argue that Virat Kohli has the time to recover and come back one of them being Dinesh Karthik.
Dinesh Karthik asks people to not worry about Virat Kohli's form
Virat Kohli's long-time teammate Dinesh Karthik, who said goodbye to IPL with the RCB, defended the former amid a little lean patch of form.
While speaking to Cricbuzz, Dinesh Karthik claimed that even if Virat doesn't score runs in a few matches, it will be fine. All because of Rohit Sharma, Rishabh Pant, and Surya among other batters scoring runs. Karthik stated that Rohit's half-century in the first game was more than enough and that the team can get by if Kohli is out of form.
DK also expressed his full faith in VK scoring in big matches and when it all matters. "Rohit just got a 50 in the first match. How much can he score on these pitches? The team itself is only scoring 100. Don't worry about Virat Kohli. He will score when it matters,” Karthik told Cricbuzz.
Dinesh Karthik went on to further claim that he has no doubts about Virat Kohli being able to rack up numbers in the T20 World Cup 2024. DK reminded everyone that Kohli has been a batter who has scored many runs in major competitions - ICC World Cups, the Asia Cup, and the Champions Trophy.
“He has never not performed in the World Cup, and there is no doubt about this World Cup too. He will 100 percent perform. Cometh the hour, cometh the man. Virat Kohli will be there. We have qualified for the Super Eight. I promise you, he will be all guns blazing once we reach the Caribbean." - Dinesh Karthik concluded.
More than 50% chance of India-Canada washout
In what is going to be the final group match before the Super 8s, Virat Kohli might not even play due to extreme weather conditions. Most of Florida has been hit by its history's worst storm and floods with Lauderhill also being affected.
The match between Ireland and the USA could not get underway due to the rain and then the wet outfield and the forecast has claimed something similar will happen. With a 55% chance of rain and 0.7 mm of rainfall, it will be more likely that the game will get canceled.
