Heinrich Klaasen takes sensational catch to dismiss Ayush Mhatre in SRH vs CSK clash

Sunrisers Hyderabad star player Heinrich Klaasen compensated for his past mistake as he dismissed Ayush Mhatre with a spectacular grab. A catch, which was not only unexpected for young Mhatre but also for the bowler Nitish Kumar Reddy.

Sunrisers Hyderabad are in the quest for their third win in the season and were expecting a lot from their two uncapped pacers, who picked eight wickets between them in the last game against the Rajasthan Royals; however, both of them went for runs in this game.

Sunrisers Hyderabad, the home team, were early into the game after Nitish Kumar Reddy dismissed Sanju Samson on the very first ball of his spell. Heinrich Klaasen completed the catch with excellent judgment.

The wicket-keeper batter no longer plays with the gloves, as formerly Ishan Kishan and now Salil Arora take the gloves for SRH. Klaasen, however, is also known for his skills on the field as well, especially his safe pair of hands under the night sky.

However, he missed judging a catch properly as he ran backwards when Ayush Mhatre had skied the third ball of the same over from Nitish Kumar Reddy. The drop cost them big time as he went on to add 30 runs off the next 9 balls.

However, Mhatre started to limp by the end of the second over from Reddy, and finally pushed at a wide delivery, but Klaasen leaped and grabbed one out of thin air to dismiss the batter. The diving effort would surely be taken into account among the finest catches of the season.

Heinrich Klaasen tops the Orange Cap leaderboard

The Sunrisers Hyderabad have seen Heinrich Klaasen over the years, and he has played a very different role this season than he usually did for the Sunrisers Hyderabad. Klaasen was the powerhouse for the side and was known for his monstrous hits and explosiveness.

However, he has evolved his batting technique this season, as he has been promoted to a new role at no. 4. Klaasen has been their most consistent performer with 30+ scores in every game this season and also three half-centuries in six matches.

Klaasen is currently the top scorer in the league with 283 runs across 6 innings, going past the likes of Shubman Gill and Virat Kohli. However, he has batted with a strike rate around the 150s instead of his brutal onslaught of 200's in former seasons.

After Nitish Kumar Reddy, Eshan Malinga hands breakthroughs to SRH

The all-rounder Nitish Kumar Reddy has had a promising season, despite his team not hitting its supreme form. He has been effective with the bat, but at times when he has missed out with the willow, he has made himself worth a spot with the ball.

Having picked two wickets in this game as well, dismissing the in-form Sanju Samson and the dangerous Ayush Mhatre, Reddy gave SRH some chance to bounce back. On the other hand, Eshan Malinga, the regular wicket-taker in the side in Pat Cummins' absence, returned with stunning figures of 2/11 after his first two overs.

He dismissed the CSK skipper, who looked to have a good start this time and later returned to dismiss Sarfaraz Khan, who had looked in promising touch during the middle-overs for the Super Kings.
