"He's been a disaster": Twitter erupts as MS Dhoni declines to retire despite IPL 2025 horror show

MS Dhoni, on Sunday (May 25), confirmed that he is not retiring from cricket at the moment, making the announcement after leading Chennai Super Kings to an impressive win over Gujarat Titans at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
Speculations were rife that the former India skipper would bring down the curtains on his illustrious career after the conclusion of the ongoing season. His future has been a major talking point for quite some time now. Many anticipated that he would retire after the last season itself when he decided to step down as the CSK captain.
However, MS Dhoni decided against it and played in the ongoing season as well. On Sunday, he did tease the fans with his comments before the start of the game against the Titans. The veteran wicketkeeper-batsman admitted that maintaining his body at the age of 43 is getting tough, and many expected him to announce his retirement after the end of the match.

However, Dhoni has not made a final decision on his future as of now. Speaking at the end of the match, the former India skipper said that he has ample time to decide about his future, while also making it clear that a lot would depend on his physical condition.
"It depends. I have 4-5 months to decide, there's no hurry. Need to keep the body fit. You have to be at your best. If cricketers start retiring for their performance, some of them will retire at 22. Will go back to Ranchi, enjoy a few bike rides. I am not saying I am done, not saying I am coming back. I have the luxury of timing. Will think about it and then decide," said MS Dhoni.
As soon as Dhoni delivered the update on his future, a number of fans took to social media to express their feelings. Here are some of the reactions:

MS Dhoni-led CSK thrash Titans:
MS Dhoni led CSK to a thumping 83-run win over Titans in their last game of the season. The five-time champions thoroughly dominated the table-toppers to end their campaign on a winning note.
Batting first, CSK posted 230/5 in the allotted 20 overs thanks to half-centuries from Devon Conway and Dewald Brevis. In reply, the Titans were bowled out for just 147 runs. Noor Ahmad and Anshul Kamboj impressed with the ball for CSK by taking 3 wickets each.
