Historic achievement: Musheer Khan leaps ahead of Sachin Tendulkar in prestigious Duleep Trophy list

Young Mumbai batter Musheer Khan surpassed Sachin Tendulkar in the elite list of the Duleep Trophy. The right-hander overtook the batting great in the list of highest scores by a teenager in the domestic tournament and now just has Baba Indrajith and Yash Dhull ahead of him.

Musheer Khan achieved the feat in the ongoing Duleep Trophy 2024 game. Playing for India B, the right-hander set the stage on fire and played an impressive innings on his debut in the tournament, thriving under pressure for his team.

Musheer came to bat at No.3 but he didn't get the desired support from the top and the middle order. The wickets at the other end kept falling but the right-hander held his nerves and made sure that he stayed there for his team and took them to a big total with his sensational batting effort.

India B was left reeling at 94/7 and it was Musheer Khan, who took center stage and bailed his team out of trouble. He was tested initially but he managed to negotiate that tricky phase as he ensured that he blocked the one end for his team with wickets tumbling.

Musheer, once he was in, ensured that he scored some quick runs for his team. He soaked in all the pressure and along with Navdeep Saini frustrated the opposition. The pacer supported him well as the duo added an unbeaten 100+ stand to take the team over 200 runs.

Musheer Khan slammed a terrific century on his debut but the hunger to score runs didn't stop there for him. The right-hander after his ton made sure that he carried on and got as many runs as possible helping the India B team get on the top even after being down at 94/7.

Musheer ended with an innings of 181 runs off 373 balls. The right-hander slammed 16 fours and 5 sixes in his innings. His impressive knock ensured that India B went past 300 runs as they ended with a total of 321 runs on the board, which at one moment seemed impossible.

Musheer Khan registers third highest score as a teenager in the Ranji Trophy

With Musheer registering a score of 181 runs, he now has the third-highest score by a teenager in the Duleep Trophy 2024. Baba Indrajith stays at the top with his 212 runs while Yash Dhull is second on the list with a 193-run knock under his belt.
