Indian speedster Jasprit Bumrah relished a record of never being hit for a six in his T20 international career, until Pakistan opener Sahibzada Farhan broke his record with some extensive hitting against the Indian maestro.
India played Pakistan three times in the Asia Cup, first in the Group stage games, then in the Super-4 stages and finally in the Asia Cup 2025 Final, when these two emerged as the finalists of the tournament.
Every time the Men in Blue clashed against the Pakistan team, different players rose to the occasion and stunned them with either the bat or ball. Kuldeep Yadav, Abhishek Sharma and Tilak Varma were named the players of the match on the three occasions, respectively.
Sahibzada Farhan mentions a fearless attitude against Jasprit Bumrah
Pakistan opened their innings with Sahibzada Farhan, the right-handed batter who was Pakistan's highest scorer in the Asia Cup. Farhan played against India three times and faced Jasprit Bumrah with sheer domination.
Throughout the season, Sahibzada Farhan scored a total of 217 runs, though his strike rate remained minimal as he could manifest something around 108.49. However, while playing against Bumrah, he faced 34 deliveries from the veteran pacer and scored 51 runs with a strike rate of 150.
He was dismissed in all seven matches in the tournament, but never got dismissed against Bumrah. He also turned out to be the first batter in the history of the game to have hit the legendary pacer for sixes.
"Is this the bowler who has never been hit for a six? I thought, how can this be possible? Three innings, 150+ runs against India. When we play, we do not watch who we are playing against," said Sahibzada Farhan.

Sahibzada Farhan has emerged as Pakistan's new T20I opening option
The Pakistani batter could not manage any form against any other teams, like even the UAE and Oman, but showed some great form against India. He went on to score 40 runs in the very first game, with a strike rate of less than 100.
Farhan came back stronger in the second game against India with 57 runs off just 39 balls and then scored another half-century against India in the finals. However, Farhan has lacked prominence at the top, against teams like South Africa and Sri Lanka, in the bilateral series held ahead of the T20 World Cup.
He will be considered a very crucial player from Pakistan's point of view, citing the T20 World Cup, which is to be held in the month of February of the coming year in India and Sri Lanka.
Jasprit Bumrah is on the verge of 100 wickets for India
Indian speedster Jasprit Bumrah is on the verge of 100 T20I wickets for India. He has played 80 matches and taken 99 wickets in the format, while also picking up several wickets in the Asia Cup and the series against Australia.
Arshdeep Singh remains the only bowler to have picked 100 wickets for India in the shortest format of the game, while Jasprit Bumrah will just be the second to do so. The upcoming series will come against South Africa at home, where Bumrah will play the T20Is for sure.
