Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) have faced a massive blow ahead of their next game against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025. Star batter Travis Head is likely to be unavailable for the game at the Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow.

Travis Head will arrive late in India after the resumption of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025. The league resumed on 17th May, and the Sunrisers Hyderabad will be playing their first game after the resumption against the Lucknow Super Giants on Monday (18th May).

He'll get in tomorrow morning, and we'll assess how he is after that - Daniel Vettori on Travis Head

However, it is unlikely that Travis Head will be available for the game against the Lucknow Super Giants. This is because he tested positive for COVID-19 and couldn't travel. The development was confirmed by Sunrisers Hyderabad Head Coach Daniel Vettori in a press conference.

Daniel Vettori said that Travis Head will arrive tomorrow morning, and they will be assessing him before taking any call. He said:

"He was delayed; he actually had COVID, so he couldn't travel. He'll get in tomorrow morning, and we'll assess how he is after that."

Travis Head missing the game against Lucknow Super Giants will be a blow for Sunrisers Hyderabad

Travis Head missing the game against Lucknow Super Giants will be a blow for Sunrisers Hyderabad. Although the Australia National Cricket Team batter hasn't been as destructive as he would've wanted, one cannot write him off, especially with the kind of performances that he has delivered.

Head, who was one of the key performers last year, isn't having the kind of season he would've wanted for his team. The Sunrisers Hyderabad batter has slammed 281 runs so far, and his poor performances are one of the major reasons behind the struggles of the team.

Ahead of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025, there were a lot of expectations from the Sunrisers Hyderabad batters. Even skipper Pat Cummins hinted that they will go past 300 runs. The likes of Abhishek Sharma, Head, Ishan Kishan, and Heinrich Klaasen failed.

Sunrisers Hyderabad has been eliminated from the IPL 2025

Sunrisers Hyderabad has been eliminated from the IPL 2025. The Pat Cummins-led side have looked clueless with the bat and ball. The Orange Amy has 11 points from the 11 games and would be keen to finish the season on high and give their fans something to cheer about.

Sunrisers Hyderabad have three games left in the IPL 2025. After the match against Lucknow Super Giants, they will be playing against Royal Challengers Bengaluru on May 23 and one against Kolkata Knight Riders on May 25.

Sunrisers Hyderabad having a poor season came as a massive surprise because they played a brutal brand of cricket last year. They finished as runner ups and this time around are reeling at the bottom half of the points table.
