Indian athlete Neeraj Chopra talked about how Team India bowler Jasprit Bumrah can increase his speed. Chopra also lauded the fast bowler, saying that he likes the style of the pacer and that his action is unique.

Jasprit Bumrah is arguably one of the best pacers going around in the world of cricket. He has performed incredibly well for the team in all three formats of the game, becoming the backbone of the Indian Cricket Team in such a short span of time.

One of the most admirable things about Jasprit Bumrah is his unique action. Despite having a short run-up and awkward bowling action, he has been incredibly successful. He is even keeping his pace in the 140s as well, which is something to praise.

Neeraj Chopra, however, suggested a thing to Jasprit Bumrah by which he can increase his pace.  The Javelin thrower said that the fast bowler should lengthen his run-up to generate more pace. Speaking to Indian Express, he explained:

“I like Jasprit Bumrah, I find his action unique. I feel he should lengthen his run-up to add more pace. As a javelin thrower, we often discuss how bowlers can increase their pace if they start their run-up from a little further back. I like Bumrah’s style.”

This was the first time I watched a match fully – Neeraj Chopra on the World Cup final

Neeraj Chopra was present in the stands during the ICC World Cup 2023 final. India suffered a disappointing loss against Australia in the final by 6 wickets.

Neeraj Chopra said that the World Cup final was the first time he watched a full cricket match. He opened up about how batting was difficult in the daytime. He also lauded India for having a staggering tournament. He added:

“This was the first time I watched a match fully. When I was on the flight, India had lost three wickets already. Virat (Kohli) bhai and KL Rahul were batting when I reached. There are some technical things that I don’t understand.

“Batting in the daytime wasn’t very easy. In the evening, I think, batting became easy. But our guys tried. Sometimes, it’s just not our day. But, frankly, everyone had a great tournament.”

India team will be next seen in action when they will travel to South Africa for the T20I, ODI, and Test series.
