Indian leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal asserts that he did not approach the selectors or any other senior official to inquire as to why he was not included in the T20 World Cup squad last year.

When Varun Chakravarthy and Rahul Chahar were chosen before Chahal, many people’s eyes were raised.

In the second part of the IPL 2021 season, which was played in the UAE, Yuzvendra Chahal talked about how determined he was to let his ball do the talking. He also delivered an outstanding performance.

Yuzvendra Chahal addressed his feelings about being left out of the T20 World Cup squad last year in an interview with Sports Yaari. He said,

“I never inquired as to why (the 2021 World Cup exclusion), as that is beyond my control. You regret missing out on the World Cup, but it is possible that they felt that someone else would have been more deserving and acceptable.

“I could control how I performed, and I did so throughout the second half of the IPL 2021 in the UAE.”

Yuzvendra Chahal on emergence as death bowler:

When Chahal started bowling at the end of innings for the Rajasthan Royals in the IPL 2022 season, he added another accomplishment to his resume (RR). Due to various reasons, like set batters, dew, etc., a wrist-spinner bowling at the latter end of the game appears to be risky.

The 32-year-old bowler, nevertheless, performed admirably during that stage and has since started to perform the same for Team India. What he had to say regarding his new position is as follows:

“Rohit Bhaiya warned me before I left for the IPL that I would need to bowl at various points throughout the game, including the very end. Additionally, Rahul sir advised me to improve my fuller deliveries.”

Sri Lanka will host the Asia Cup in the UAE in 2022. There will be 13 matches overall in the tournament. India is the current tournament champion after defeating Bangladesh in the championship match in 2018.
