Indian all-rounder Hardik Pandya is one of the explosive batsmen in white-ball cricket. Hardik Pandya debuted in 2016 and has asserted his authority on several occasions, taking apart the opposition by clearing the boundaries at will. The 27-year old praised India’s depth in world cricket, claiming they could field two more teams and win any competition in the world.

While India’s young guns are taking on Sri Lanka in white-ball cricket, another outfit featured in a practice game in England last week ahead of the Test series against the hosts. The Indian team has top-notch players to the extent that the selectors have been successful in conjuring two strong teams simultaneously.

With Ravi Shastri in England as Virat Kohli hopes to script a historic Test series win on their shores, Rahul Dravid has earned the coaching job for the Sri Lankan tour. The selectors appointed Shikhar Dhawan to lead the side with a host of young and promising players. 

Notably, India decided to hand five debuts in the third ODI against Sri Lanka, with the series already won. Hence, Hardik Pandya claimed there is role clarity and that their talent pool is good enough to win any competition in this world by putting in two more teams.

“Our roles are very clear, even in the main team. With the kind of talent, the Indian team posses right now, I think we can pick two more teams and win any competition in the world,” Pandya told before the third ODI against Sri Lanka.

Hardik Pandya underlined that every cricketer needs to grow as an athlete and as a person. The Baroda-born all-rounder likes to celebrate his failures as he sees the sport as something that teaches a lot. Hence, Pandya hopes to keep learning and remember the lessons.

I understand that in life you have to keep growing. As a cricketer and a person, you need to keep growing. My process is just growing as a human being. You tend to make mistakes, you fail, but I like to celebrate my failures. I like to celebrate my bad days, it is a part of the sport and it teaches you a lot of things. I like to remember it,” he added.
