Ahead of his much-awaited international debut, Suryakumar Yadav is highly excited to join the national team and is in high spirits considering their recent form. Suryakumar Yadav earned his maiden call-up to the national team for the five-match T20 series against England, rewarded for his spectacular IPL performances. The right-handed batsman, who has the opportunity to press his case for the high-octane tournament, has high hopes from the Indian team in the 2021 T20 World Cup.

The Indian team created history by winning the inaugural T20 World Cup in 2007 in South Africa and four years later captured the 50-over edition. Their last silverware came in 2013 and the men in blue have stumbled by coming close to capturing trophies in 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, and 2019. Virat Kohli’s men have a fantastic opportunity this year to lift their second T20 World Cup when it takes place during the October-November window. India also staged the 2016 ICC World T20 but exited in the semi-finals, eliminated by eventual champions West Indies.

“The brand of cricket the Indian team is playing is unbelievable. I have following them for a long time. Looking at the players, their contribution, the way they are playing, the way they are lifting their game against different teams has been unbelievable,” Yadav told India Today.
