The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) are all set to delay the squad announcement for the England ODIs as well as the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. As per the reports in Cricbuzz, it is learned that the team won't be named on the deadline day, which is 12th January.

The reports added that the BCCI is all set to request an extension, citing that hectic schedule in Australia, where the India National Cricket Team played a five-match Test series over the course of three months. However, the governing body might announce the squad for the T20I series against England in the next few days.

Indian squad for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 is likely to be announced around January 18-19

As per the rules of the ICC, each team has to announce the provisional squad of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 at least a month before the tournament. But with BCCI requesting an extension, it is learned that the team for the tournament now is likely to be announced on around January 18-19.

The India National Cricket Team squad for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 reportedly will see players who will be featured in the home ODIs against England. The series, no doubt, will be a great preparation for the team ahead of the tournament and will allow the Rohit Sharma-led side to identify their combination.

The Rohit Sharma-led side will be playing the ODIs after a long break. They last featured in the 50-over format during the series against the Sri Lanka National Cricket Team, which they lost, losing to the island nation for the first time in 27 years.

The England ODIs set to begin on 6th February, and ICC Champions Trophy 2025 is set to kick start on 19th of February

The England ODIs, which will be the last series for India ahead of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, will be extremely important for the Rohit Sharma-led side. The three games no doubt will allow them to gain the rhythm of the 50-over format, especially after a lengthy Test season.

The ODI series against the England National Cricket Team will begin on 6th February, while the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 is all set to kick start on 19th February. The Indian squad will most likely be the same as it was in the ICC World Cup 2023, where the team reached the final, barring a few changes.

BCCI will be announcing the Indian squad for the T20I series against England over the next couple of days.

The reports added that BCCI will be announcing the Indian squad for the T20I series against England over the next couple of days. It is learned that there won't be any surprises, and it will be the same as what the team fielded during the Bangladesh and South Africa series.

The premier pacers in Mohammed Siraj and Jasprit Bumrah won't be taking part in T20Is. While there is uncertainty over the fitness of Bumrah, it is expected that Siraj will return to the team for the ODI series against the England National Cricket Team.
