The International Cricket Council (ICC) has postponed their meeting on the issue surrounding the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 to Saturday (30th November). As per the reports in RevSportz as well as the Pakistan media, it is learned that the global body has taken no decision related to the hybrid model.

The International Cricket Council (ICC) was all set to host the meeting on Friday (29th November). It was learned that the discussions would've allowed them to make the final call on the venue issue related to the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, which originally was slated to take place in Pakistan.

Not only this, the reports in Pakistan media have claimed that BCCI is all set to face a massive setback. As per the sources, it is learned that other participating nations in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 have verbally supported PCB on the matter and they are on the same page with Pakistan.

The ICC Champions Trophy 2025 has become one of the major cricketing topics of late

The ICC Champions Trophy 2025 has become one of the major cricketing topics of late because of the tussle between the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB). The two cricketing bodies have been engaged in unofficial heated arguments over the venues for the tournament.

The ICC Champions Trophy 2025, as per the schedule, is all set to take place in Pakistan next year in February-March. However, the Indian government hasn't given clearance to the BCCI to send Team India to Pakistan due to security reasons. And this hasn't gone well with the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has made it clear to the International Cricket Council (ICC) that they want to stage the entire tournament in Pakistan. There have been rumours that even if India doesn’t travel, the defending champions are ready to play without Men in Blue.

ICC reportedly has raised the call for the hybrid model for ICC Champions Trophy 2025

The International Cricket Council (ICC) reportedly has raised the call for the hybrid model, keeping in mind the Indian stance as well as the current unrest in Pakistan, which has even seen Sri Lanka A leaving the tour midway and postponing the series against Pakistan A.

However, it has been learned, as per reports in Pakistan media, that despite the ICC raising the call for a Hybrid Model, the Pakistan Cricket Board has declined it. This is because they don't want to share the hosting rights and want all the games of the tournament to be played in Lahore, Karachi and Rawalpindi respectively.

The other side of this whole saga suggests something different. It has been reported that the International Cricket Council (ICC) might move the entire ICC Champions Trophy 2025 out of Pakistan if they don’t accept the hybrid model, which most of the participating nations have backed.

The ICC is likely to deliver the final verdict tomorrow in their meeting

The reported proposed hybrid model says that out of the 15 matches, three of India's group matches, including against Pakistan, one semi-final and the final will be played in a neutral venue, which most likely will be UAE. And if India doesn't qualify from the group stage, both the semi-final and final will take place in Pakistan.

The ICC is likely to deliver the final verdict tomorrow in their meeting. There have been a lot of speculations related to the tournament, and it remains to be seen what will be the future of the tournament, which will take place in February-March next year.
