The ICC Champions Trophy 2025 has been in the news for the last few days, and now the entire development has taken a U-turn. As per the reports in Sports Tak, it is learned that if the Pakistan Cricket Board pulls out to host the tournament, then India is likely to be the front-runner to host the entire tournament.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has denied sending the India National Cricket Team to play the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 in Pakistan. This comes after the Indian government didn't give a green signal to the team, and hence, it is learned that the Hybrid model has been in discussions.

If that happens, there reportedly will be compensation by the International Cricket Council to the broadcaster, who will likely host the tournament without Pakistan because of the cricketing culture in India, especially after the successful ICC World Cup 2023.

The reports claimed that the International Cricket Council (ICC) has asked the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) for a response about hosting the Champions Trophy in a hybrid model. However, they haven't got any response to that so far, and they are adamant about hosting the entire tournament in Pakistan.

The PCB confirmed on Sunday that it received an email from the ICC about India's decision. They have asked the global Cricket body about the reasons behind the BCCI's call and they have asked the Indian body about the same, as reports said.

The BCCI, however, is writing to the ICC and will be mentioning that due to security reasons, they won't be travelling to Pakistan. The governing body also will be prepared that there is a dossier, where they will mention that India is worried about terrorist attacks in Pakistan along with cross-border terrorism.

The reports also claimed that South Africa, which was news to host the entire ICC Champions Trophy 2025, has been ruled out as an option. But so far, the chances of a hybrid model to look very bleak because the Pakistan Cricket Board has been very aggressive in its stance this time around.

PCB reportedly has conveyed to their government about India's decision. But the government, too, is too strong on their stance. They said that if the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 will be played then it should happen completely in Pakistan.
