ICC Champions Trophy 2025: Mohsin Naqvi attacks India after on-time stadium upgrades, talks Jay Shah’s Pakistan visit

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi has taken a brutal dig at the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) after the upgrade of stadiums for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. He said that with the renovation work being done dreams of many people were shattered.
Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) was under massive pressure related to the upgradation of stadiums for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. The governing body had already passed the deadlines to submit the stadiums to ICC before the tournament, and it raised a lot of speculations.

There were reports that if Pakistan failed to complete the renovations of the stadiums, then the International Cricket Council (ICC) would be moving the entire tournament outside of Pakistan. The PCB was given the deadline of 31st January to complete the work, and they have met the expectations.
The stadiums for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 now has been completed almost and the tournament will be played in Pakistan. The eight-nation event is all set to be played from 19th February, and the final will be paid on 9th March. Barring India games, which will be played in Dubai, the tournament will be played in Pakistan.

While talking about renovations of stadiums for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, Mohsin Naqvi lashed out at the Indian reports of a tournament being moved out. Speaking to the reporters, he said:
“Many people's dreams were shattered, who thought that the stadiums would not be completed on time and the Champions Trophy would be shifted to another venue. So, I am very thankful to Allah for fulfilling my promise."
"People across the border were spreading rumours that the upgradation of cricket stadiums in Pakistan will not be completed before the Champions Trophy. However, We did it!"

Mohsin Naqvi also revealed that they have invited officials from every cricket board, including BCCI and ICC Chairman Jay Shah, as well for the opening ceremony of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. But he added that he hasn't got any confirmation if the ICC Chairman will come or not.
"We have invited officials from every cricket board, including BCCI and ICC Chairman Jay Shah, as well during the Champions Trophy in Pakistan. We have received no confirmation regarding ICC Chairman Jay Shah's visit to Pakistan for Champions Trophy."
Mohsin Naqvi also confirmed that the squad of the Pakistan National Cricket Team for the ICC Champions Trophy will be announced today. The Mohammad Rizwan-led side remains the only team who have not named their side for the tournament.
