ICC Champions Trophy 2025: Rajeev Shukla sends strong message to PCB after India's rejection to visit Pakistan

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) vice-president Rajeev Shukla provided a massive update about the team's participation in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. He said that they are clear about their plan and they have conveyed to ICC about the same.
Things are heating up between the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) related to the venue for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. The tournament is all set to take place in February-March next year and, so far, has been scheduled to take place in Pakistan.
BCCI has conveyed to the ICC that they won't be travelling to Pakistan for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has conveyed to the International Cricket Council (ICC) that they won't be traveling to Pakistan for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. This is because the Government of India hasn't given them clearance and has refrained the team from traveling due to security reasons.
Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), on the other hand, has been strong in its stance. They don't want to host the tournament in the Hybrid model and have mentioned to the ICC that their country has no security concerns, citing examples of how teams have been traveling to Pakistan.

The PCB has asked the ICC to as BCCI to give an explanation in writing about their decision not to travel to Pakistan. They also mentioned that if the Indian body failed to give proper evidence, then they would have to travel to Pakistan or not play the tournament at all.

However, BCCI, too, is strong on its stance, and its vice-president Rajeev Shukla mentioned that in the open. The Board member said that it's their policy and they will be doing everything their government asks them to do. Speaking to ANI, he explained:
"We are very clear about it and it's our policy that - whatever the govt asks us, whatever the direction it gives, we will do according to that - we have conveyed this to ICC as well..."

The ICC Champions Trophy 2025 tour in Pakistan has been put on hold as well. The trophy tour was scheduled to take place in various cities in Murree, Hunza, Muzaffarabad, and Skardu. But this was strongly objected to by the Board of Control for Cricket in India secretary Jay Shah.
As per the reports in PTI, he condemned the move to have a trophy tour of cities 'Pakistan Occupied Kashmir. Jay Shah has also asked the International Cricket Council (ICC) to take stern action against such a move. The global cricket body, however, took an immediate step after the BCCI's secretary's objection and the the Trophy tour has been put on hold.
